Once again, this year’s Pre-Writing Seminar was a great success! We’d like to thank everyone who attended and who who presented. Below are some of the resources from this year’s presentations. Enjoy!
- Daily Goal Calendar
- The Introverts Guide to NaNo
- Using NANO to Finish Your Novel
- Writing Niche Worksheet
When: Saturday, October 18th from 1:30 to 4:30
Where: Off the Beaten Path Books & Emporium
Address: 33314 Grand River Avenue, Farmington, MI
OTBP is located on the main strip of Downtown Farmington. Parking is available behind the establishment, at the plaza across the street, and (if you are lucky) in one of the spots on the street. Last year was a very popular success, so if you are hoping to grab a good spot to sit, we suggest you arrive early. Food and drink will be available for purchase at OTBP. As Sal (the owner) has always been very warm, welcoming, and kept the door open for us, we kindly ask no outside food or drink.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at nanowrimo.detroit@gmail.com.
Resources from previous seminars…

Angela King spoke to us about how to stay organized. She put together this great wiki site to help us all!
Your MLs talked about creating characters. Some great resources can be found here, and Owen’s process of character creation is detailed here.
Sarah Lucas discussed plotting as you go. An outline of her process can be found here.
Great Information! Thanks so much for sharing. I’m in the Detroit NaNo Region. Looks like I missed a lot at the Prewrite metting.
That would be prewrite meeting, not metting, because I really don’t know what metting is. I can edit till tomorrow, right?
No, editing is for December! 😉
Right!
These are some wonderful resources. Thank you very much for collecting them!
